IPL 2020: "If you need me with the ball, I'll be there,"AB de Villiers committed to winning IPL for RCB

South African superstar AB de Villiers has been an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) over the years the Indian Premier League (IPL) having single-handedly won the several matches for the franchise in the tournament.

However, the RCB is yet to win the IPL trophy despite having two greatest batsmen of the modern era – De Villiers and Virat Kohli in the team, but this season, they are desperate to lift the trophy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) –the country is set to host the IPL 2020 from 19th September.

Former South Africa captain has been seen batting, bowling, fielding, and wicket-keeping in the RCB nets ahead of IPL 2020, as he is keen to go all out to help the franchise to lift their maiden IPL title this year and even joked that he is ready to roll his arm over in the IPL 13 if captain Kohli needs.

In an episode of 'Bold Diaries', De Villiers told RCB TV: “I always joke with Virat. I told him two nights ago: 'Listen, if you need me this year with the ball, I will be there.' Look, I've never been a great bowler, but I love throwing it around and keeping things fresh and just having fun out there.”

On the difficult conditions in the UAE, Mr. 360 degree added: “I'm not used to these conditions, and it reminds me of a Test we played in July in Chennai. Viru (Virender Sehwag) scored a hundred, and the humidity is similar to that. It seems to be getting better. It'll definitely play a part, and it's important to save that energy for the last part of innings.”

The superman of cricket signed off by saying that the quality of cricket might be higher than usual in the upcoming IPL 2020 – where the RCB will play their first game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21.
