The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be looking forward to winning the IPL for the third time when they contest in the thirteenth edition of the league in the UAE. Skipper Dinesh Karthik and all-rounder Andre Russell are the biggest weapons of the side.
There were some rumors floating around about a rift between the two. Such a rift can totally wear a team down and some of the experts have already pointed it out in the open. However, KKR mentor David Hussey has brushed off these rumors in a recent interview.
Hussey told Indian Express, "There is no rift or anything there. Actually, I think there is a bit of bromance there and they are pretty close which is fantastic for the group."

He also heaped praise on the skipper saying, "Karthik is a straightforward person who backs his teammates to get the job done. It’s a good sign of leadership. He is high maintenance at times because he loves the game of cricket. There is no malice… he only cares about winning the game."
The Knight Riders will also have in their side the current ICC ODI World Cup-winning England team captain, Eoin Morgan. The English skipper will be extremely crucial with his inputs whenever Karthik needs them. Hussey feels that the left-hander will fit in as vice-captain perfectly.
"Morgan is a classy-middle order player. Along with DK, I am sure it will be a fantastic partnership on the field. DK from behind the stumps and Morgan can be sort of the vice-captain and help the bowlers out in certain situations. He will fit in perfectly," the 43-year-old said.
KKR will begin their IPL 2020 campaign against the Mumbai Indians on 23 September.
