The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL 2020 was supposed to commence this March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was suspended, and finally, this season is set to begin on 19th September in UAE.

As usual, eight teams are taking part in it. Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the favorites to win the title and other teams like Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too are expected to give a good fight.

Royal Challengers Bangalore - three times IPL runners-up is still in the quest of their maiden IPL title. For the last three seasons their performance has been poor and this time they will be hoping for a successful campaign. This year they have Chris Morris - the death overs specialist, leg-spinner Adam Zampa to support Yuzvendra Chahal and to strengthen the batting they have added Aaron Finch, Josh Philippe and Devdutt Padikkal.

The batting will mainly rely on captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers and the likes of Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube too have to play a good role. In the bowling they have Dale Steyn, Umesh Yadav, Chris Morris, Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana in pace and Yuzvendra Chahal, Adam Zampa and Moeen Ali in the spin department. Overall they're looking a balanced side and should do well in this season. Here is a statistical look at Royal Challengers Bangalore's journey in IPL.
