The KKR co-owner also urged the fans to back the Knights and support the franchise throughout the IPL 13 while describing them "Toofan".

Shah Rukh Khan wrote on Twitter: “@kkriders #HaiTaiyaar… come on, let’s get behind our Knights and support them through this season! #TuFanNahiToofanHai.”

On the other hand, KKR captain Dinesh Karthik said that the franchise will miss the energy of the fans at Eden Gardens and they want to tell them what are they to them through this campaign.

Karthik stated: “We will be missing our fans this year and the energy of Eden Gardens. We wanted to communicate directly with KKR fans and wanted to convey what they mean to us. We do understand that they can't be here in person with us, but they will be in our hearts.”

Amid the global pandemic, Bengal has been badly hit by the Cycle Amphan and KKR wants to put a smile on people by winning the IPL this year in the UAE.

He signed off by saying, “This year, it’s not so much for us. We’re playing for you all. We want to put a smile on their faces through our cricket. If we play the right brand of cricket, I’m sure we will make sure that you know we put a smile on every KKR fan out there.”

Noteworthy, the KKR will open their IPL 2020 campaign against the defending champions Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma on September 23 in Abu Dhabi.
