Chahar was one of the two CSK players who had contracted the virus upon landing in UAE. But he went through two-week quarantine and has now cleared a couple of COVID-19 tests to be back in the fold for the three-time IPL champions.

"Except for the Indian batsman, who is in quarantine, all others have come out. The Indian fast bowler has tested negative twice and is back," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan told ESPNcricinfo on Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter, the franchise also shared a picture of the Indian seamer in training, with a cheeky caption: "Deeback Chahar!"

According to the reports, the other player in the CSK camp tested positive for COVID-19 was Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Viswanathan confirmed that the India A batsman was still in quarantine but was "fine with no symptoms".

Super Kings were rocked by as many as 13 positive Coronavirus cases after arriving in the UAE for IPL 2020. The team hadn’t even recovered from this news when their star batsman Suresh Raina and veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the competition, citing “personal reasons”.

Earlier this week, BCCI released the IPL 2020 fixtures and it was confirmed that CSK will face defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener on September 19 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
