The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL 2020 was supposed to commence this March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was suspended, and finally, this season is set to begin on 19th September in UAE.

As usual, eight teams are taking part in it. Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the favorites to win the title and other teams like Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too are expected to give a good fight.

Delhi Capitals who hasn't even made to the final of IPL yet will be eager to do that this time after a good performance in the last season. They have almost the same squad who played in the last edition and have also added Ajinkya Rahane and Shimron Hetmyer to their batting department and the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and captain Shreyas Iyer are good enough to do the job in batting.

And in the bowling, Kagiso Rabada and Ravichandran Ashwin will be the key bowlers who will have to play a great role on these slow and dry tracks of UAE. Overall they have a very much balanced squad and this time they are expected to have a fantastic season in the leadership of captain Shreyas Iyer and coach Ricky Ponting. And here is a statistical look at Delhi Capitals' journey in the Indian Premier League.
