IPL 2020: Brijesh Patel reveals the date when IPL schedule will be released

The 13th edition of IPL is slated to be held in UAE from September 19 to November 10.

COVID-19 pandemic forced the BCCI to shift the IPL 2020 to UAE | TwitterAmid the anticipation, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel on Saturday (September 5) confirmed that the schedule for Indian Premier League 2020 would be released on Sunday (September 6).

The 13th edition of IPL is slated to be held in UAE from September 19 to November 10. However, the detailed itinerary for the cash-rich tournament is yet awaited.

"The schedule will be released tomorrow," Brijesh told ANI.

Just a couple of days ago, BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal had told IANS that the T20 league would begin as scheduled.

After 13 personnel, including two cricketers, had contracted COVID-19 upon landing in UAE, it was speculated that the tournament may not start on time.

However, Dhumal had clarified that everything was fine in UAE and the event would take place as planned. The sixty-game event will be played across venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
