Chennai Super Kings (CSK) started their training session almost a week late than other franchises for IPL 2020. They had to face a delay because of COVID-19 infected members of the team.
CSK players, except Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, began the outdoor training in Dubai at ICC Academy. A video was shared by the franchise on their Instagram account in which skipper MS Dhoni faced the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla.

Dhoni also had a chat with Jadeja after he completed his delivery. It was about how the left-arm off-spinner was bowling.
Apart from the CSK captain, Shane Watson was also seen facing leg-spinner Karn Sharma. Dhoni was later seen practicing wicket-keeping when the franchise went live on Instagram for the fans.
"A glimpse of the Super Grind on Day 1. #StartTheWhistles ????????," wrote CSK on their Instagram post.
The two senior members of the team, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh have pulled out of the tournament citing ‘personal reasons’. Harbhajan became the 2nd player after Suresh Raina to withdraw from the tournament.
