The new look jersey featured by Delhi Capitals players | TwitterThe Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise have come out with the team’s new-look jersey ahead of the IPL 2020 edition, which will be played from September 19 onwards at three bio-secure venues in the UAE- Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.

Given the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, all the eight franchises have been lodged in their separate hotels and following the strict guidelines mentioned in the BCCI SOP. Delhi Capitals have set up base in Dubai and began training after completing the mandatory 6-day quarantine upon landing in the UAE.

The franchise recently signed up with the JSW group, which is also the 50% owner of the Delhi Capitals, as their principal partner, and their logo is displayed at the center of the new look DC kit that was unveiled.

The jersey is of a lighter shade than their previous 2019 kit with the tiger emblem in the background. There is also less red seen in the jersey, mostly across the sleeve ends and under the collar.

The Capitals shared the new look on Twitter while announcing the JSW group as their principal sponsor.

With immense pride, we welcome @TheJSWGroup as our Principal Jersey Sponsor for #Dream11IPL A bond that gets stronger & makes us truly feel home on a new journey, in the new normal #YehHaiNayiDilli,” they captioned the unveiling video on Twitter.

JSW got a slight discount over what Daikin was paying because of no ticket sales, no meet and greet. But we’ll be showcasing our steel, cement and paints brands during IPL and we will be advertising also on Star and Hotstar,” Jindal declared to Live Mint.

As per reports in InsideSport, Daikin was paying 16 to 17Cr per annum as a principal sponsor of the Delhi team. Once Daikin decided to pull out of the IPL, the Delhi based franchise did not get any offer that could match their expectations.
