Royal Challengers Bangalore have been thoroughly criticized for not performing up to expectations season after season. They haven't won a single IPL title with arguably the best side on paper and have been hammered for being too dependent on skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to win them games.
Kohli has represented RCB for all the previous 12 seasons and is the highest run-getter in the tournament with 5,836 runs under his belt. AB de Villiers comes next with most runs for RCB scoring 3755 runs. No other batsman has even scored 1300 runs for them except Chris Gayle who is no more a Royal Challenger.
However, RCB speedster has defended the other players saying that guys like Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Shimron Hetmyer have also won them games last year. He also accepted that Kohli and De Villiers do a little more than the others but everybody contributes.

Yadav told India Today, "People will say we rely on them, they have won us numerous games as well. But if you see last year's final match, Gurkeerat Mann and Shimron Hetmyer won us the match so obviously we don't only rely on 2 players."
"There are 11 players in the team, if we only rely on 2 batsmen then why will the others play? Everybody contributes in the team, AB and Virat do a little more than others that's fine, but they are doing their best which is good for the team," he added.
The pacer also spoke about playing in empty stadiums and shared his experience of playing Ranji Trophy matches where aren't a lot of people in the stadiums.
The 32-year-old said, "I haven't experienced that here till now but I have played a lot of Ranji Trophy matches in empty stadiums so I know how it feels, I'm ready for that. I'm coming here after playing quite a few Ranji games so I know how to cheer myself up when playing in an empty stadium."
"It is important to keep yourself on top. That will be very important, how a team keeps itself on top despite playing without any support from the fans," he concluded.
