Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler Deepak Chahar on Tuesday (September 1) in a video on Twitter said that he has recovered well after he had tested positive for COVID-19, also sharing few clips of himself exercising while quarantining in his room.
Chahar along with top order batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad tested positive for the Coronavirus in Dubai and have been in quarantine since. 11 other CSK staff members also tested positive and have been separated from the rest of the touring squad.
In a statement on Tuesday, CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said that all members of the CSK contingent have tested negative for COVID-19 in the latest round of tests, except the 13 who had tested positive.
"All others, apart from the 13, have tested negative for COVID-19. They will have to undergo another test on Thursday, 3 September. We are likely to start training on Friday, 4 September," Viswanathan said from Dubai.
"Deepak and Ruturaj will complete their 14-day quarantine and then join training after two negative tests as per protocol," he added.
Fresh tests will be conducted on the 2 infected players and 11 staff personnel once they complete their two-week mandatory quarantine period.

Three-time winners Chennai Super Kings, lost the services of their vice-captain Suresh Raina due to personal reasons and will hope to put behind the far from ideal start to their campaign by beginning their outdoor practice sessions in few days' time.
The 13th edition of IPL will start on September 19 with the schedule expected to be revealed soon after formalities were completed over the past few days.
