Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) vice-captain Suresh Raina shocked the cricketing community by flying back to India, leaving the secure bio-bubble in UAE, which has been formed for the IPL 2020 which will begin from September 19 onwards.
CSK has already been dealt a huge blow as 2 of its players and 11 staff members tested positive for Coronavirus. The two players were Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad and their five-day camp in Chennai before departing for UAE has come under BCCI’s scanner.
Meanwhile, a Dainik Jagran report suggested that Raina has reached Delhi from UAE and quarantined himself in his home. CSK will look to fill this huge gap left by Raina, who is the second overall highest run-getter in IPL, behind Virat Kohli and will miss the entire IPL for the first time.

Apart from this Raina also suffered personal bereavement after his uncle passed away and four members of his family were left injured after attack by unidentified assailants in Pathankot. The incident took place on August 19 in Thariyal village of Punjab’s Pathankot district.
