IPL 2020: CSK spinner Harbhajan Singh slated to reach Dubai on September 1

Harbhajan had missed out on camp in Chennai citing personal reasons.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran spinner to join the franchise in UAE on September 1 citing some personal reasons. He also missed the five-day preparatory CSK camp among in Chennai.

Harbhajan will have to clear two COVID-19 tests in India before leaving for Dubai. The spinner will be quarantined away from the rest of the CSK members.

After reaching Dubai, the 40-year-old will have to pass three mandatory COVID-19 tests. He can join the squad only after getting negative results on all the tests.

Two of their players, pacer Deepak Chahar and batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad tested positive for COVID-19.  An even bigger blow came when Suresh Raina pulled out of the tournament because of personal reasons. 

The way ahead of Super Kings looks tough, but the franchise is sure about recovering ahead of the tournament and return in full force. They have not started their outdoor training yet, while the rest of the franchises are practicing already for the IPL 2020.
