It is unclear what led to the 13 members of CSK touring party catching the virus, but their five-day training camp in Chennai before coming to Dubai is under scrutiny. As per CSK CEO, KS Viswanathan, it was skipper MS Dhoni who had suggested for the camp to prepare the players for the bio-secure bubble in UAE.
CSK team members will remain in quarantine for a few more days, even though rest of the squad has tested negative following another round of tests on Friday. The camp has been hit by double blow of COVID-19 and vice-captain Suresh Raina returning home due to personal reasons, giving the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 a miss.
