Aakash Chopra wished for a speedy recovery of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players and support staff who have tested positive for COVID-19. There are still three weeks for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 to start and the infected members can recover on time.

As per reports, 11 members of the support staff and two players are the ones infected. They are kept in isolation in Dubai. The players were quarantined after reaching UAE and they had to undergo three tests on Day 1, 3, and 6.

The condition of the COVID-19 positive members is said to be stable. They were tested positive on Days 1 and 3 and now will need to undergo a mandatory 2-week quarantine period.

"10 members of #CSK (including an India player) found #COVID19 positive. Wish them all a speedy recovery but it does serve as a significant reminder of the times we are living in. The sanctity of the Bio-secure bubble can never be overstated. #IPL (sic)," Chopra said in a social media post.

CSK are set to begin their outdoor training in Dubai from September 1. The other franchises have already started training from Wednesday.

Earlier, IPL 2020 was postponed because of a sudden rise in COVID-19 in India. The tournament was then shifted out of India to UAE. It will start from September 19 to November 10 in bio-secure environments across three venues; Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.
