IPL 2020: Virat Kohli meets his RCB officials and teammates after completing quarantine

The IPL 2020 will begin on September 19 onwards in the UAE.

Virat Kohli in conversation with coach Simon Katich and director Mike Hesson | TwitterOfficials and players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise completed their mandatory 6-day quarantine period in Dubai and had a team bonding session, photos of which were shared on RCB’s social media accounts.

All the members of all eight franchises were required to undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing on arrival in the UAE, which will host the IPL 2020 from September 19 onwards. Then, they were taken straight to their hotel rooms, where they had to stay for 6 days in self-isolation and get tested thrice during that time.

The testing will continue throughout the tournament which will last 53 days.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore officials, staff and players were seen mingling, while maintaining social distance on the beach. RCB posted a picture of Captain Virat Kohli having a chat with coach Simon Katich and Director of Cricket Mike Hesson on the beach.

"The Coach. The Gaffer. The Captain. Safe to say the leadership group is enjoying each other’s company," RCB captioned their post.

Kohli and other players were busy training and doing workouts in their hotel rooms and shared their progress with their fans on social media via videos and photos.

In another post, RCB players Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Shivam Dubey, and Umesh Yadav, along with others were seen playing football and air hockey in what seemed like a great team bonding exercise.
