Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey has high hopes from the franchise in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in UAE. Hussey hasn't joined CSK yet and he is currently in Australia.

Talking about the batting position of CSK captain MS Dhoni, Hussey doesn't think there is any better position than number four for him. Dhoni has done well in the last couple of IPL seasons at this position.

Speaking in a recent interview with the New Indian Express, he said, “No. 4 is ideal for Dhoni to bat, but everyone in the middle-order will need to adapt as per the situation.”

Hussey is aware of the rustiness in players because of a long gap in cricket. Dhoni will be playing after a gap of more than a year. But the CSK coach is sure about the experience of players favoring them at this situation.

“[They need to] Just get in the ground and do the hard work. We are lucky to have a lot of experienced players in our ranks who know their game well. They also know what they need to prepare and how to be ready for the task.”, he said.

There was a long wait for IPL 2020 and finally, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will be played in a bio-secure bubble.

“Very excited about the tournament going ahead and interested to see how it will all go with no crowds and staying in a strict bio-secure bubble. It will definitely not be easy, but we must be disciplined and stick to the rules for the benefit of everyone's health,” he said.

IPL usually witnesses a packed stadium and loud cheers of fans which makes it an amazing atmosphere to play in. But the crowd won't be allowed this season because of COVID-19. Hussey feels it is going to be difficult to adjust. “Fans are a huge support base for us. Because of the situation, crowds won't be there. But I believe we will play with the same intensity.”

CSK players have already started their pre-IPL camp in Chennai for six days. Dhoni has joined the session along with other big names of the franchise at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
