Former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria, who has often called on to the PCB for giving his life-ban a rethink, has opined on which spinners will be ruling the roost in the upcoming IPL 2020, which will be played entirely in the UAE from September 19.
The BCCI was forced to move the IPL 13 to the Middle East due to the current COVID-19 situation in India itself, which has recorded more than 21 lakh cases till August 8, 2020.
Kaneria opined that leg-spinners will dominate the upcoming IPL 13 which will be played in Sharjah, Dubai, and Abi Dhabi across 53-days. He named Yuzvendra Chahal and Imran Tahir as the two bowlers to look out for in the upcoming 13th edition of the most popular T20 league in the world.
"I would like to visit Ayodhya when opportunity comes", says ex-Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria
He also said that left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav will also do well.
“The spinners will play a big role in the IPL, which is going to take place in UAE. Especially the leg spinners will dominate. Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Imran Tahir will be very dangerous in the UAE. Spinners like Kuldeep Yadav will be able to leave your mark. Due to slow wickets, spinners will dominate there," Kaneria told India TV in an interview.
He also gave his two cents on the Virat Kohli v Babar Azam debate and said that there should be no comparison between the two batsmen.
"There should not be a comparison between Babar and Virat right now. Indian captain Virat Kohli has proved himself and has scored runs everywhere. There is no doubt that Babar Azam is a brilliant player and currently the backbone of Pakistan's batting. He has been performing consistently for the team. Therefore, it is not possible to compare the two. Babar is the future star of Pakistan and the team's batting rests on them to a large extent," Kaneria told IndiaTV.
