The IPL 2017 final was one of the best T20 matches of all time played between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant. Rohit Sharma’s team earned a hard-fought victory in the low scoring match by one run to earn their third IPL title.

Batting first, MI lost early wickets including openers Simmons and Patel for single-digit scores. However, Krunal Pandya (47) and Rohit Sharma (24), helped the team to 129/8 in 20 overs. In reply, RPS was cruising along knowing that they had a relatively small target.

Rahane made 44 and captain Steve Smith made 51, but then Mitchell Johnson and Jasprit Bumrah turned on the magic and RPS fell one run short needing 4 to win off the last ball and managing just 2.

The victory showed the spirit of the Mumbai Indians team and it warranted an amazing celebration. Mumbai Indians shared a reel on Instagram which shows Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, the Pandya brothers, Mitchell McClenaghan, and the entire staff and members dancing to the tune of Marathi hit song ‘Zingaat’, which was a rage back in 2017.
