West Indies’ star allrounder Dwayne Bravo has yet again showered rich praise on his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, hailing legendary Indian captain’s leadership skills and the team atmosphere that’s behind CSK’s success in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Bravo, who has been an integral part of the CSK over a decade, said Dhoni never acts like a big superstar in the dressing room and always makes people feel comfortable around him in the team.

The all-rounder further explained how Dhoni creates an atmosphere for players to thrive as well as his captaincy and atmosphere helped many cricketers to rediscover their touch at the CSK.

Bravo told ESPN in a video chat: “CSK, over the years, has had players like Faf du Plessis, Brendon McCullum, Mike Hussey and myself – players who have been leaders for their respective countries. But MS is the type of person who always says in the dressing room: ‘you are here because you’re good enough. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.”

He further added, “Whenever you come to CSK, your career is born again. Look at the likes of Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, everyone’s career has been on the rise, and even everybody’s career (graph) keeps going up whenever they come around CSK.”

Bravo further pointed out how Dhoni’s behavior and confidence in the players make their life easy at CSK, adding: “MS never puts any pressure on the players. Outside of cricket, you rarely see him, but his room is always open, so you can walk in there anytime.”

He signed off by saying, “He’s brilliant to have conversations with, obviously played so many games. He creates an environment where people feel comfortable and everyone relaxes; he doesn’t behave like a superstar despite all his accolades and achievements that he has achieved in his career.”
