Manoj Tiwary has demanded the mandatory presence of local talent in all IPL teams ahead of IPL 2020.

The former Bengal Ranji Trophy captain has played 98 IPL games so far and has scored 1695 runs at an average of 28.73 and a strike rate of 116.98. He has scored 7 half-centuries in those games. However, he was not picked by any franchise in the IPL 2020 auction.

Tiwary tweeted about having local talent in all IPL franchises and asked fans what they thought about making it mandatory.

He wrote, “Wanted to throw up a question related 2 #IPL How many of u all think of having a mandatory domestic local talent 2 be in their respective local franchise team?? I will share my opinion later in d evening

He did not share his opinion via a single tweet, but he replied to some of the fans who posted their thoughts about the rule.

A user wrote, “Honestly sir I dont think it should be mandatory to select a player just because he is from the same state of the franchise. If he is good enough teams will bid for him considering the heavy scouting done by IPL teams.

To which, he replied, “Thanks for ur feedback but I know there r so many who all r ready but still misses out on getting picked. Not saying about me though there r so many actually
