Australian star batsman Steve Smith has on Monday (April 6) engaged in a candid chat with the New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi for the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) podcast episode on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Smith, the world number 1 Test batsman, who has amassed 7227 runs in 73 Tests and 4162 runs in ODIs, was due to return on the full-time captaincy capacity in the 13th edition of the IPL 2020 and at the moment, he would have been playing in the cash-rich event, but the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic forced all the sporting activity to be shut down indefinitely all around the world.

The whole world is currently under lockdown at their home due to the furious spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus – which has also led the IPL 2020 to be postponed till April 15 with the uncertainties looming over the fate of the premier T20 event given the current situation in India.

Well, on Monday, Smith, and RR spin consultant Sodhi appeared in a podcast episode organized by the RR, where the New Zealander asked the captain what he's doing during the lockdown, as the Aussie is also in self-isolation like rest of the world in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Netflix and chill,” Smith replied. He was then jokingly asked “What's going on with your face, mate?” by Sodhi about his facial hair and the RR captain replied to him “Isn't it awful” before laughing hard.

Noteworthy, Smith and Sodhi will be part of the second video podcast for the Royals that will air very soon on the internet.
