As the 2020 edition of IPL was just around the corner, all eight franchises had planned to regroup and start training and get their strategies for IPL 2020 going. But due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, the league was postponed from 29 March to 15 April.

This postponement has led to the franchises canceling their training camps until further notice. Some franchises like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders had already canceled their camps.

IPL 2020: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cancels their scheduled training camp due to COVID-19

Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers of Bangalore were the latest addition to the above list as on Monday (16 March), as they postponed their training camp which was scheduled to begin from 21 March. The BCCI last Friday suspended the IPL following government-imposed travel restrictions and refusal by three states to host any matches owing to the pandemic.

India has reported 114 positive cases for COVID-19 with two deaths. Overall, more than 174,000 people have been infected with the virus worldwide and so far more than 6,600 deaths have been recorded.
