Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vice-captain Suresh Raina, aka Chinna Thala got a huge cheer as he walked into the nets for practice. As soon as Raina took guard and defended the first ball, the whistles and noise got louder in the background.

CSK's official Twitter account shared the video on social media. "A solid defense to start the proceedings as his name echoes. #WhistlePodu #ChinnaThala #SuperGrind," they wrote, posting the video.

After Dhoni, Raina has got a huge fan following in Chennai. The reason is understood! He is the highest run-scorer for Super Kings in the tournament.

There used to be a time when Raina was among the most dominant batters in the Indian Premier League. His form dipped in the last few years, but that doesn't affect his admiration among the fans.

Fans have full faith in their 'Chinna Thala' to win them another IPL title this year. It will Raina's responsibility too to deliver at crucial stages which we saw missing in the last IPL.
