MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina are the heartbeats of the Chennai Super Kings franchise. Both of the players have been associated with the team since its inception with Raina acting as Dhoni’s deputy and is one of the highest run-getters in the tournament.

If Dhoni is known by CSK fans as Thala, then Suresh Raina is known as Chinna Thala. While Dhoni is making his comeback to competitive cricket since playing in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final; Raina last played for India in July 2018, when he last appeared in an ODI against England at Leeds.

MS Dhoni enjoys a fan following in Chennai that borders on fanaticism and Raina does so too; therefore, when the two met in Chennai as the CSK team started their preparations for the upcoming IPL 2020. Both have a special bonding for their time playing for Team India and then CSK for so many years.

So, it came as no surprise that Raina and Dhoni greeted each other with a warm hug but Raina went a step further and kissed Dhoni on his neck, sending CSK fans into a frenzy on Twitter. Chennai Super Kings shared the video of their meeting on their Twitter.
