IPL 2020: "Be back soon," says Jofra Archer after being ruled out of IPL and Sri Lanka tour

Archer will not take part in the Sri Lanka Test series due to a low-grade stress fracture.

The 24-year-old English pacer Jofra Archer was recently ruled out of the upcoming Sri Lanka tour as well as the IPL 2020 (Indian Premier League) after sustaining an elbow injury.

The ECB on Thursday (6 February) confirmed that he will not take part in the Sri Lanka Test series and IPL 2020 as the statement from the cricket board said, “Archer underwent further scans on his injured right elbow yesterday in the UK which confirmed a low-grade stress fracture.

Archer who headed England from South Africa to regain full fitness and missed the final three-Tests however is motivated to come back to the national side as he tweeted, “Be back soon.

The right-arm pacer will now be beginning with his injury rehabilitation program with the ECB medical team and will be looking to be ready for the upcoming Test series against West Indies in June.
