According to the cricket pundits, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have picked a fairly balanced side for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Having entered the IPL 2020 auction with the available purse of INR 27.90 Crore, RCB bought eight players including the likes of Chris Morris, Aaron Finch, Kane Richardson and Dale Steyn.

Among the overseas players, the Bangalore-based franchise also fetched Sri Lankan all-rounder Isuru Udana, who has emerged as one of the exciting players in the shortest format in the last couple of years.

Although RCB roped him for his base price of 50 Lakh, they were ready to spend as much as 9 Crore on the island cricketer.

In a video released by RCB on YouTube, their Director of Cricketing Operations Mike Hesson can be heard sharing the qualities of multi-skilled Udana in front of the team management.

Later in the clip, Hesson also participated in a mock auction wherein he ended up bidding a hefty sum of 9 Crore to secure the services of Udana.

Here’s the video:

RCB have never lifted the IPL trophy, but have been runners-up three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016 respectively.
