Bumrah is playing for MI since 2013 and has played an instrumental role in their four title triumphs thus far.
"@mipaltan Great City Quality Franchise Flat wicket Don't have to play against @Jaspritbumrah93 Can't wait for @IPL 2020," Lynn wrote on his Twitter page.
To which Bumrah replied, "Haha, welcome to the team! @lynny50 You're still going to have to face me in the nets."
Chris Lynn was the first pick at the IPL 2020 auction. The defending IPL champions secured his services at his base price of INR 2 Crore.
Lynn, 29, was a part of Deccan Chargers during the 2011 and 2012 IPL editions but only got to play one match for the team. He was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2013 season but did not get the chance to feature in a single match.
In 2014, Lynn was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders and represented them every year expect 2015 when he was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
