Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) finished their 2019 league campaign with six wins from fifteen matches and with the fourth position in the points table and they also qualified for the playoffs where they lost to Delhi Capitals in the Eliminator.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started their season on a good note and registered three wins in the first four matches but after that, they lost three back to back matches but in the second half they again returned to winning ways. In the end, they finished the league stage with six wins and due to the superior net run rate, they also got the fourth position in the points table and got the ticket of playoffs where they lost to Delhi Capitals.
Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting was carried by openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow who combinedly scored more than 1100 runs and gave good starts in most of the matches but the middle and lower order batting line up let them down. And once they left for the national duties Sunrisers struggled to post a good total and lost all the matches in which both the openers didn't play.
In the bowling department, Khaleel Ahmed and Rashid Khan were outstanding throughout the season but other bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul, and Sandeep Sharma struggled and it was one of the major reasons that Sunrisers couldn't defend 150 plus runs totals like last year.
