Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have started IPL season 12 right from where they ended season 11. They haven’t been able to taste victory in the four games that they have played this season. Despite having big names like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer to name a few, in their squad, RCB has faltered at times.

Most of the IPL fans have already ruled out RCB from winning IPL 2019. However, Delhi Capitals advisor and former Indian cricket team captain, Sourav Ganguly still thinks that RCB can come back into contention. This is because Kohli leads the team and Ganguly believes he has the capability to take them forward.

While talking to India TV, Ganguly said, “I won’t rule out RCB as there is still time and I hope to see him take the team forward.” Kohli is just like what Ganguly was during his days as captain; aggressive, passionate and talented. As a result, the 46-year-old would know how Kohli would go about with his Bangalore franchise.

Praising Kohli, he said, “He played well last season, I think it’s a passing phase for him this season. The number of runs he’s (Virat) scored for India, I guess no player is close to that. He needs to take the back seat and think with a calm and composed mind with the team. There are still matches ahead.

While RCB are at the last position, DC is placed fifth in the points table with 2 wins in 4 games. DC is scheduled to play Sunrisers Hyderabad in Delhi on Thursday (4 April) while RCB will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday (5 April).
