Sunrisers Hyderabad decimated Royal Challengers Bangalore by a big margin of 118 runs at home ground Hyderabad and clinched their second consecutive win.
Earlier on a good batting track, captain Virat Kohli won the toss and asked Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first. In-form David Warner and Jonny Bairstow started playing attacking cricket from the first over itself and gave no chance of come back to Royal Challengers bowlers and kept smashing them all over the park and added record 185 runs for the opening wicket in just 16 overs.
Jonny Bairstow played a brilliant knock of 114 runs off 56 balls. David Warner too completed his 4th IPL hundred in the last over and Sunrisers ended on a huge score of 231/2.
In reply Royal Challengers Bangalore started off very poorly and had no clue against Mohammad Nabi's off-spin bowling and lost 6 wickets for just 35 runs. Colin de Grandhomme and debutant Prayas Barman's cameos helped Bangalore to avoid the biggest defeat in this format and eventually, Bangalore bowled out for just 113 runs and suffered a big loss of 118 runs.
