The Royal Challengers Bangalore would not have dreamt of the start they got in the opening match of the IPL 2019 against Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions. On a landmine of a pitch, Royal Challengers were bundled out on 70 in 17.1 overs.CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to field, and his spinners Harbhajan Singh (3/20), Imran Tahir (3/9) and Ravindra Jadeja (2/15) routed the RCB batsmen which included Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali and others falling for single digits. Parthiv Patel managed to score 29 and take RCB to a decent total.
Twitter was not happy with RCB’s performance and roasted the Bangalore based franchise for their poor performance.
