The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League will be the twelfth edition of this popular T20 league. The IPL 12 will kick off in Chennai on March 23 where the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Total eight teams Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals (previously Delhi Daredevils) will take part in IPL 2019.
Last year in December, Delhi Daredevils changed its name to Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals is the only team (among current IPL teams) who haven't qualified for finals yet.
Delhi's IPL journey also began in 2008 and in 2009 and 2012 they're table toppers in the league stage but on both occasions lost in the semifinals and 2012 was also the last season when Delhi qualified for the playoffs.
Though this year they have a young and balanced side and will be looking forward to a good season of Indian Premier League. Here is a look at Delhi Capitals' (Delhi Daredevils) IPL journey in numbers.
