IPL franchise Deli Daredevils have gone for a major rejig in their support staff as they have hired former India batsman Mohammad Kaif and along with him, have made assistant coach Pravin Amre, talent scouts.

According to sources, Amre, a former Mumbai coach, was himself keen for this new role, which would basically end with the team once the IPL auction is done. As has been reported in the past, DD’s new part-owners, JSW, have been keen to ring in a few changes ever since they acquired a stake in the franchise.

New owners JSW moved CEO Hemant Dua out of his current position and are considering changing the name of the franchise, which has failed to reach the playoffs in last 4 seasons and finished last in 2018 season. "Nothing is finalized yet. We'll make the announcement when the time comes," said a DD official.
