Hardik Pandya remains one of the most talked-about players in the IPL 2027 trade rumors, as a report stated that the Mumbai Indians have received fresh inquiries about a potential trade for their captain.
Though he continues to face issues related to his fitness levels, Hardik Pandya continues to be one of the most desirable all-rounders in cricket due to his ability to perform well both with the bat and the ball. Since the end of IPL 2026, various teams have reportedly approached the five-time winners for the possibility of trading their captain, which includes the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Chennai Super Kings.
A Cricbuzz report stated that there have been a number of teams that have approached the Mumbai Indians’ management for Hardik Pandya, with one franchise being especially interested in him.
The chances of Hardik Pandya moving to the Chennai Super Kings seem to be lower now since Zaheer Khan has been appointed as the new coach of CSK due to their clash in the past when Zaheer Khan was playing under the banner of MI.
However, the report states that a new management at CSK can bring about a change in the equation between the two. Talks regarding the transfer of Hardik are expected to heat up over the next few weeks, with a deadline of November 15 before the IPL auction in December.
"However, interpersonal relations and professional equations can change with time and circumstances, and the current dynamic between Zaheer and Pandya can only be a matter of speculation. There may also not be too much time for all concerned to arrive at a decision on a potential Pandya trade," the report added.
On the other hand, Indian team management, including Gautam Gambhir, continues to monitor Hardik Pandya’s fitness closely, with the all-rounder reportedly set to miss the upcoming New Zealand tour.
Despite his issues with fitness, Hardik remains a key part of the Indian team's plans for the ICC World Cup 2027, as he brings huge balance to the Indian XI and the way he can change a match with the bat or the ball.
