After IPL 2026, Shivam Dube, an all-rounder for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), commended the team's culture of freedom for all players. According to the star cricketer, the healthy culture is a result of the players' families being present at all times.

Since joining the team in 2022, Dube has been a crucial member of CSK for the previous five years. The tall left-hander helped the side win their fifth IPL title in 2023 with his only 400-run season to date.

"It's not a big thing. There is no rocket science over there, but CSK keeps it very simple. First of all, when you're there in the IPL for two months, it's a long time, and I feel every player and every support staff member needs some family time. So, they always allow the family to be with you.

When you're with your family, you're free and enjoying your time, but then again, when you come to the ground, you're fresh. This is the thing that they do behind the scenes, and when you come to the ground, they tell you exactly what they want,” Dube said on Hindustan Times.

CSK, despite being a five-time IPL-winning franchise, endured a downward trend in the last three IPL seasons and missed the playoffs in all three seasons since their IPL 2023 win.

Additionally, Shivam Dube also praised CSK management for believing in their players, irrespective of their performances and results.

"They have told me on numerous occasions, ‘Shivam, we want this from you. If you try and you succeed, that's good for you and for the team. But if you don't succeed, it's totally fine. You have tried your best. That is what we want.' So that is where it comes from, okay? I get the freedom. If I don't perform, if I don't get runs in every match, they believe in me that I have the strength, and I can do this," said Dube.

Shivam Dube, who made his IPL debut in 2019, has played 92 games, scoring 2129 runs and taking 6 wickets. His runs came at an average of 31.30 and a strike rate of 145.42, with 10 half-centuries and a best score of 95*.
