Sooryavanshi made 776 runs in IPL 2026 at a strike rate of 237.30 with one ton and 5 fifties | BCCI-IPLEven though the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) concluded a few days ago, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's genius is still unmatched. The 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals’ opening batter blasted every bowler to all parts of the ground and didn't think twice about taking on seasoned pros like Josh Hazlewood, Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

He scored 776 runs in 16 games for RR at a strike rate of 237.30 and made one century and five fifties. The left-handed batter won five major awards, including the Orange Cap, the Emerging Player, and Most Valuable Player of the Season.

Because the opposition was constantly cautious of Sooryavanshi's menace, Sachin Tendulkar believes that his impact on the games extended beyond the runs he made. He also praised the Samastipur, Bihar, footballer for staying true to his goals in the face of extreme adversity.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had an influence on games that went beyond the runs he scored. Oppositions were thinking about him, teams were planning for him, and fans were waiting for him long before he arrived at the crease.

His ability to score rapidly in both the Eliminator and the Qualifier showed that his intent remained unchanged, even as the pressure increased. More importantly, his batting seemed to give Rajasthan Royals an added sense of belief every time he walked out to the middle,” Tendulkar wrote in a Reddit post.

Sooryavanshi had an amazing time in the Qualifiers as he stroked 97 in just 29 balls with 12 sixes against SRH in the Eliminator game. He then performed against GT as well in Qualifier 2, scoring 96 runs in 47 balls, which went in vain as GT defeated RR to make it into the IPL 2026 final.

The teen prodigy will next be seen in action in the India A's tri-nation series against Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A, beginning June 9.
