Rajasthan Royals (RR) teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi put on a show with the bat in the Eliminator clash of the IPL 2026 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in New Chandigarh on Wednesday (May 27).

After being put into bat, Sooryavanshi launched a brutal assault on the SRH bowling attack right from the outset. He made full use of the powerplay, reaching his half-century in just 16 balls.

The 15-year-old was particularly severe on Sunrisers captain Pat Cummins, hitting him for three consecutive sixes in the third over.

While the first maximum was over long on, the second one was cut uppishly over third man followed by a sixer straight down the ground over the bowler’s head.

Here’s the video:

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his carnage after the half-century, and eventually perished for 97 off 29 balls in the ninth over bowled by Praful Hinge. His whirlwind knock was studded with 5 fours and 12 sixes, giving RR a perfect foundation to post a gigantic total.

At the time of Sooryavanshi’s dismissal, the Royals were 125/1 in 8 overs. Dhruv Jurel joined Yashasvi Jaiswal at the crease after the fall of first wicket.
