Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya has resumed training on his own in Mumbai’s Reliance Corporate Park on Tuesday. Pandya has missed two matches for the MI team due to back spasms, and MI has lost both games and has been eliminated from the race for IPL 2026 playoffs.
Hardik Pandya has not had a very good time as the captain of the MI side and as an all-rounder in IPL 2026. He had played 8 games for the team, scoring 146 runs and taking 4 wickets.
Some of his decisions made during the games in IPL 2026 have come under scrutiny, and though MI management has reportedly confirmed that they’ll continue to back Hardik Pandya, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Baroda cricketer.
Hardik Pandya shared videos of himself practicing on his Instagram story, and the videos have gone viral on social media.
It is believed that Suryakumar, Hardik, and a few other players departed for Mumbai immediately following Sunday's game in Raipur. Suryakumar was recently blessed with a newborn girl. The rest of the squad moved to Chandigarh and then continued their journey to Dharamshala.
Suryakumar hooked up on the day of the game against the RCB; therefore, it is unclear when he will join the team. As the game against the PBKS approaches, the team hopes to have him back.
The Mumbai Indians, who are now sitting in ninth place on the points table, are having a terrible season.
