Rajasthan Royals (RR) teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced another quickfire knock in his team’s IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Saturday (May 9).

Chasing a massive target of 230, RR got off to a flying start with Sooryavanshi taking on the GT fast bowlers. The 15-year-old opened up his account with a six off Siraj on the second delivery of the first over. He hammered Kagiso Rabada for two more sixes in the next over.

Sooryavanshi continued his carnage in the third over as well, smashing Siraj for three boundaries in four balls. However, the right-arm quick had the laugh as he dismissed the youngster on the fifth delivery of that over.

Siraj secured the breakthrough with a well-directed short ball. Sooryavanshi attempted a pull shot but was hurried by the bouncer, resulting in a mistimed skyer that was caught at short fine leg by Arshad Khan.

After getting the prized scalp, Mohammed Siraj looked extremely charged up and celebrated in an animated manner. He roared loudly in excitement as Sooryavanshi walked back to the pavilion after scoring 36 off 16 balls.

Earlier, GT captain Shubman Gill slammed 84 off 44 balls to set the foundation for his team’s massive total of 229/4 in 20 overs. His opening partner Sai Sudharsan (55 off 36) also slammed a half-century, while Washington Sundar scored 20-ball 37.
