Team India pacers turned rivals in the Indian Premier League, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, took turns teasing one another after the recent IPL 2026 match between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Ahmedabad.
Bumrah, who picked his maiden wicket this IPL season, was seen making fun of Siraj for his DSP appointment. Siraj, who was named Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana in October 2024, is often referred to as "DSP" by his teammates.
Bumrah joked about being promoted to commissioner before going on to add that every time he visits Hyderabad, he never sees a car with a DSP badge waiting for him.
Then Siraj Siraj recited the “tujhe ghar ki yaad nahi aayee Jassi” dialogue from Dhurandhar and decided to give it back to Bumrah and asked him for his bat, but was asked to cut his hair.
It was a good game for MI, as Tilak Varma’s 101* and Naman Dhir’s 45 helped MI post 199/5 in 20 overs. In response, Ashwani Kumar picked 4/24, decimating the GT batting, which was bundled out for 100 runs and lost the game by 99 runs.
