Rajasthan Royals (RR) wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel pulled off what many are calling the "stumping of the season" to dismiss Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Cameron Green during the 28th match of IPL 2026 at the Eden Gardens on Sunday (April 19).
The dismissal occurred in the fifth over of KKR’s chase. Wrist-spinner Ravi Bishnoi saw Green charging down the track and fired a googly wide down the leg side.
Jurel, momentarily blinded by Green's movement, reacted with incredible speed. He dived to his left, gathered the ball cleanly with one hand, and flicked it accurately onto the stumps while his body was still in motion away from the wicket.
Cameron Green was well outside his crease and was dismissed for 27 off 13 balls. His wicket reduced KKR to 37/3 in the chase of 156.
Dhruv Jurel’s brilliance behind the stumps was commended by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
“Only one stump in sight, on the move, and done in the blink of an eye! Simply magnificent Dhruv Jurel!,” Tendulkar wrote.
Coming to the match, the Royals posted 155/9 on the board after opting to bat first. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi top-scored with 46, while Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 39. RR were cruising at 81/0 but suffered a dramatic collapse to 124/5, thereby squandering the opportunity to rack up a huge total.
Varun Chakaravarthy (3/14) and Kartik Tyagi (3/22) were the pick of the bowlers for KKR, with Sunil Narine returning with figures of 2/26.
