During the IPL 2026 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad on Friday (April 17), Cameron Green struck a powerful six that hit the car, which is slated to be presented to the Player of the Tournament.
The incident occurred during the 13th over of KKR’s innings, as Green hammered two sixes off GT pacer Ashok Sharma to reach his first half-century of the season.
On the third ball of that over, KKR’s ₹25.2 crore acquisition flicked a delivery from Ashok over the leg side and the ball ended up slightly denting the display car.
As part of their initiative, Tata Motors will donate ₹5 lakh towards grassroots cricket development following this incident.
Cameron Green anchored a struggling KKR side that collapsed to 32/3 early on. He eventually scored 79 runs off 55 balls, including 7 fours and 4 sixes, to help KKR post a total of 180.
Kagiso Rabada (3-29) and Mohammed Siraj (2-23) were the pick of the bowlers for GT, sharing five scalps between them while recording economical spells.
