Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend Virat Kohli has finally reacted to a ridiculous report involving him in the upcoming IPL 2026 tournament. Kohli has arrived in Bengaluru and has begun his preparations in the RCB camp for the IPL 19.
Virat Kohli had played a huge role in RCB winning the IPL 2025 title with over 650 runs in the edition, with eight fifties to his name at an impressive 140-plus strike rate while opening the innings.
Notably, Kohli has shifted his family, that includes wife Anushka Sharma and two children, to London for a quieter life, as his international career for India is limited to the ODI format, having retired from T20Is in 2024 and Tests in 2025. Whenever India plays an ODI series, Kohli travels to India from the UK to join the contingent.
Therefore, some reports were doing rounds that Virat Kohli had demanded to the RCB management that he would require chartered flights from India to the UK for regular travel during the IPL 2026. This was because he reportedly had planned to go back home to London if there was more than three days’ gap in between RCB matches in the tournament.
However, Virat Kohli has himself dispelled these reports as false without even saying a word. He shared an Insta story on his Instagram account where these things were mentioned and used the crying-while-laughing emojis to suggest that even he found the said conditions to be funny.
