
The BCCI on Tuesday (December 9) unveiled a trimmed down list of 350 players from over 1300 registrations for the upcoming IPL 2026 auction. A few hours later, the board released a revised list featuring nine additional names, taking the final count to 359.
With three days remaining for the mini-auction, the names of the nine players, who were belatedly added, have been abruptly removed
These nine players, which included six Indians and three capped overseas stars, were put at the end of the list, but as of Saturday (December 13), the names are no longer visible.
The new additions were Swastik Chikara (Uttar Pradesh), Virandeep Singh (Malaysia), Manisankar Murasingh (Tripura), Chama Milind (Hyderabad), K.L. Shrijith (Karnataka), Ethan Bosch (South Africa), Chris Green (Australia), Rahul Raj Namala (Uttarakhand) and Virat Singh (Jharkhand).
The BCCI hasn’t offered explanation yet for the inclusion of the nine players, nor has it released a statement about their removal.
The IPL auction for the 2026 season will be held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (December 16).
