
India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy took a spectacular catch to dismiss Tagenarine Chanderpaul on Day 3 of the first Test against the West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The incident unfolded during the eighth over of West Indies’ second innings. Facing Mohammed Siraj, Chanderpaul swivelled across on the pull and couldn't keep it down. After hitting high on the bat, the ball went to the left of square leg where Nitish pulled off a superb flying catch.
The clip of Nitish’s super effort to remove Chanderpaul for 8 runs is now going viral on the internet.

Coming to the match, the hosts declared their first innings on overnight score of 448/5 with a substantial lead of 286 runs against the West Indies at the start of the third day. India’s innings was headlined by centuries from KL Rahul (100), Dhruv Jurel (125) and Ravindra Jadeja (104*).
At the time of writing, the visitors were reduced to 43/4 in their second innings and staring at a certain innings defeat.
