South Africa has raced ahead in the second Test against India, being played in Guwahati, with the ball as well. After posting a huge 489 runs in the first innings, the Proteas have steamrolled the Indian batting as well, routing them to 122/7, when Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed.
India had begun day 3 on 9/0, and after a first wicket partnership of 65, lost KL Rahul for 22, and Yashasvi Jaiswal followed soon after for 58 runs. Then India suffered a collapse, losing Sai Sudharsan (15), Dhruv Jurel (0), Rishabh Pant (7), and Ravindra Jadeja (6) in quick succession.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar stemmed the fall of wickets with a little partnership before Marco Jansen stunned Nitish with a bouncer, and Aiden Markram completed an astonishing catch.
Jansen produced a steep climber on the fourth ball of the 42nd over, and Nitish, caught completely surprised, tried fending it, only for the ball to hit the gloves and fly towards the second slip.
Markram did very well to run a few steps to his right before putting in an incredible dive to complete a one-handed catch. It was a brilliant, superhuman effort to complete the catch.
