Indian team has assembled in Baroda for the first ODI against New Zealand that will be played on January 11, 2026. And star player Virat Kohli humorously mimicked left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh’s running during the team’s training session.
Virat Kohli was the Player of the Series in the India v South Africa ODI series, as he scored two centuries in the first two games and then made an unbeaten fifty. He then featured for Delhi in the first two Vijay Hazare Trophy games and scored a century in the first game at the BCCI CoE in Bengaluru.
Therefore, he was seen in a good mood as the Indian team practiced hard for the New Zealand. And during the practice session, Kohli appeared relaxed and shared a laugh as he playfully imitated Arshdeep’s running style.
On the other hand, Arshdeep played two matches for Punjab, taking seven wickets at an average of 8.57, a strike rate of 13.71, and an economy rate of 3.75. His standout performance came in a five-wicket haul of 5/34 against Sikkim.
After the first ODI in Baroda, the series will move to Rajkot for the second match on January 14, and then the third ODI will be played in Indore on January 18.
The ODIs will be followed by five T20Is, starting on January 21 till January 31.
