Ravindra Jadeja was in the thick of things as India wrapped up New Zealand innings at 255 runs on day 3 of the ongoing second Test in Pune. New Zealand resumed from 198/5 on day 3 and Indian spinners made merry despite Glenn Phillips’ good little knock.

He remained unbeaten on 48 runs, as New Zealand were bowled out for 255 runs and set India 359 runs to win the match and level the series.

Ravindra Jadeja got three quick wickets and contributed a run-out, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar also claimed important wickets. Sundar finished off New Zealand's batting with four wickets in the second innings.

Glenn Phillips tried a double to maintain strike but was run out by Jadeja, bringing New Zealand's innings to 255 and setting India a 359-run chase to tie the series.

Phillips hit the ball towards deep cover, where Washington Sundar casually fielded it while the Kiwi batters tried to complete a double. Will O’Rourke was ambling towards the bowling end, where Sundar’s throw came right near to the stumps.

Jadeja just palmed the ball onto the stumps and appealed for the run out. Replays showed that O’Rourke was too casual in his running and was short of his ground, ending his stay and New Zealand’s second innings.
