The Indian team was completely outclassed by New Zealand on day 2 of the ongoing first Test at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 17, 2024. After the first day’s play was washed out due to rain, India won the toss and decided to bat first.

The decision left fans and experts stunned given the heavy cloud cover in Bengaluru and the moisture present on the surface that was covered for the entirety of day one and overnight as well.

The New Zealand pacers Tim Southee, Matt Henry, and Will O’Rourke made merry as India was reduced to 10/3 in no time.

Only Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) and Rishabh Pant (20) reached double figures, while Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scored ducks for India. India was bowled out for 46 runs in 31.2 overs.

For New Zealand, Matt Henry picked 5/15, while O’Rourke took 4/22. This was India’s lowest score in Tests in India and their 3rd lowest Test score ever.

This resulted in the Indian team being severely trolled and at the forefront was Cricket Australia. CA took to social media platform X and posted the video highlights of India getting bowled out for 36 runs in the Adelaide Test during the 2020-21 tour of Australia.

CA captioned the post: “Is 'All Out 46' the new 'All Out 36'?”

Not only was CA trolling India, but cricket fans on social media were also sharing hilarious posts burning the Rohit Sharma-led side who were bowled out for 46 runs.
